Helping World Mobile bring digital inclusiveness to billions of unconnected people around the World.

Earn with World Mobile

Earth Node Operators secure the network and earn inflation rewards and transaction fees. As part of the sharing economy delegators to Earth Nodes are able to share in these rewards.

By selecting one of our nodes below you can help connect the unconnected and see your rewards grow, safe in the knowledge that your rewards never leave your wallet.

Overview of WM

Using both aerial and terrestrial infrastructure, blockchain technology, and hybrid connectivity World Mobile creates an unstoppable people-run mobile network. Offering affordable coverage in extremely expensive coverage areas. World Mobile’s sharing economy underpins its unique network model, where infrastructure is owned and operated by the people. This ensures that everyone benefits from a mobile network that is both more efficient and less expensive than what is currently available.

WM Mission

There are nearly 3.7 billion people unconnected globally because the global network industry won’t invest to connect the last mile. World Mobile was founded to address this issue and provide affordable access to the internet, enabling access to digital finance, healthcare, education and economic freedom for all.

Mark Davies - Sobema Earth Nodes

Mark

Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Mark from the UK and as part of my career and social life I’ve travelled extensively and witnessed the huge divide between those of us who have connectivity and those that don’t.

In 2021 I listened to a broadcast by Charles Hoskinson on Atala Prism and mobile communications based on blockchain. From that moment my passion for World Mobile was born and in November 2021 I reserved my nodes and here we are!

Since then I have been an active member of numerous social media forums and have taken the time to visit the World Mobile teams and sites in Zanzibar, Dubai and Wales. You can find out more about these in my blogs.

Origin of SOBEMA

As the father to 3 children I wanted to create something they could relate to and something they could be proud of. SOBEMA is a combination of their initials, but a search on the meaning throws up ambitious, innovator, willing to employ new and unproven methods. To me this sums up exactly what World Mobile aims to achieve together.

It isn’t cheap to connect people in remote locations and the network industry have been reluctant to connect the last mile where it is not economically viable.  For this reason there are almost 3.7 billion people without affordable and reliable connectivity.  The United Nations has targeted that by 2030 every person should have safe and affordable access to the internet with meaningful use of digitally enabled services.

Soon you will be able to stake to our Earth Node and others and earn rewards.  Get ready by simply creating your vault then you will be able to connect your wallet and start earning WMT rewards from the World Mobile Token ecosystem.

Why Sobema?

Sobema has made significant investment to provide a robust infrastructure for the running of our Earth Nodes

Our ENO Infrastructure follows a hybrid baremetal plus cloud based server model to ensure maximum performance and availability.

All  Nodes are connected through encrypted VPN Tunnel connections, and NO ports are exposed to the Public Internet other than Sentry Nodes accepting connections from other ENOs on the Aya Network.

Each EN’s baremetal section is isolated from the others using separate VLANs, each with their own IP Subnet, with no cross talk possible on the local network. ACLs (Access Control Lists) are also in place on the VPN side to maintain this separation.

We have a dedicated (SysOps Engineer working to keep all ENO infrastructure maintained and up to date, and he will be instrumental in any future expansion to Services offered.

No Node in the Multi-ENO Infrastructure has any rights to ssh connect into any other Node. If any single Node were to somehow be compromised, there would be no path out to any other location.

Only the Sentry Nodes have any potential Public Internet path into them, and ONLY through the peer connection port needed to ensure incoming connections from other ENOs on the Aya Network.

Zabbix monitoring is running on every Node in the Multi-ENO Infrastructure, with bespoke triggers and alerts set up to go to our SysOps Engineer for first response to any issues that may arise.
